Shipping

We offer shipping via both United Parcel Service (UPS) and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS)  for shipping within the United States. When you are checking out, you will be prompted to choose your delivery method, and your cost will be displayed, before you submit your order.

Shipping charges are based on your delivery location and on the weight of your package. Each map and print in our catalog displays a "shipping weight" in the description. The shipping weight varies depending on the size of the map or print. Your shipping charge also includes complete insurance coverage for the map or print while in transit. The insurance is based on the value of the item.

We recommend UPS for orders over $100, for enhanced security and trackability.

Delivery Time

Your order does not necessarily ship the same day you place your order! If we are able, we will ship the same day. However, due to time differences and time of order, we can only guarantee to ship an order on the following business day. Your shipping delivery time stems from the day of shipment. For example, if you order on a Wednesday afternoon via UPS Next Day Air, your order will be shipped on the next business day, Thursday, and you will receive it on Friday. If you order on Friday afternoon, it will ship by Monday, and be delivered on Tuesday. If we can ship the same day, we will, but we cannot guarantee it.

Packaging

Your purchase will be securely packaged in the best way to suit the map or print. Some items are small enough to ship flat. These are securely packaged within a conservation quality paper, then inside a 'sandwich' of several layers of rigid cardboard, and finally placed in an outer cardboard mailing package. Larger items cannot always be shipped flat, because the package would be unwieldy and likely to be damaged in transit. In this case, the maps or prints are carefully rolled and encased in conservation tissue, then placed in a rigid cardboard mailing tube.

Whatever packaging needs are required, you can be sure we will handle your package in the best way for the item purchased. We have ten years experience shipping antique maps and prints, and enjoy a reputation for extremely careful and secure packaging of your valuable antique art.

Condition is as noted, and please feel free to contact us for a fuller condition report if needed. Measurements are in inches, and are of the printed area only. Margins are ample for framing unless otherwise stated.
