Joseph Paxton's Magazine of Botany was published as a serial magazine through much of the nineteenth century, and periodically was published in book form. The prints offered here were issued during the early life of the magazine, in the 1830s, and appeared in book form in 1841. The magazine engaged some of the most prominent artists of the day, and Paxton prints are noted for their elegant drawings and beautiful, vibrant colors.
